Massachusetts Budget Results in Cuts to Disability Services

Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick (D) signed the state’s budget June 29th, which makes $36 million in cuts to disability services, including residential, day, vocational, and family supports. In addition, $3.2 million was cut from the Mass Rehabilitation Commission, reducing a training program primarily for developmentally disabled individuals and $3.7 million was cut from early intervention programs.

Thank you to Massachusetts state association member, Bob Richards for informing ANCOR of this development.
