Congress Enters Spring Recess

Congress begins their district work period on March 29 and it will run through April 9. Use this opportunity to meet in person with your members of Congress. Meeting with them in their local, district offices or having them visit your organization is the most effective way to educate your Members and their staff on issues important to you. While health care reform has passed the jobs bill with the FMAP extension is still up for debate. Also use this opportunity to ask for co-sponsors for the Direct Support Professionals Fairness and Security Act of 2009 (H.R. 868).
