Senate Schedule Calls for a Single Bill to Come to Floor in July

Earlier this year, Senators Baucus (D-MT) and Kennedy (D-MA), chairmen of Senate Finance and HELP committees respectively (the Senate committees with jurisdiction over health care), established a joint process to lead a single health care bill to be merged on the Senate floor. Following committee mark-ups, the plans are to take one to two weeks to combine the two bills after the July 4th recess. Type rest of the post here.
