Texas Legislature Advances Bill to Allow Children with Disabilities Access to Medicaid
The Texas state House approved a bill on April 30 that will allow children with disabilities to enroll in the Medicaid program regardless of the parents’ income. The bill is designed to help families that earn too much to qualify for Medicaid but are struggling with the high cost of their child’s medical treatment. The State Senate already passed the bill and it will now be sent to the Governor for his signature.
